Chris Nikic became the first person with Down Syndrome to finish the Ironman World Championship triathlon in Kona Friday night. Chris competed with a guide, Dan Grieb, who helped him throughout the 2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike ride, and 26.2-mile run in 16 hours, 31 minutes and 27 seconds. Chris lives by the philosophy that you just get 1% better every day, enabling him to train and compete in Ironmans.
