AI is on the frontline of the fight to save rainforests from deforestation. Rather than having to hunt down people who may be taking down trees, data from satellites and cloud-piercing radar combined with on-the-ground monitoring to detect and track threats can now be used to save the trees. This is currently being used in the Amazon and is being proven successful.
